About Us

A congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Immanuel Lutheran Church is a historic congregation with a vibrant future, located in North East Baltimore City serving the surrounding region.

Our magnificent building is in the French Gothic Style.

We operate the Immanuel Compassion Center in conjunction with the Lutheran Mission Society to help those in need of food, clothing, and other necessaries.   The Compassion Center is open most Saturdays from 10am to 2pm, and the entrance is found in the rear of the church.

We are also pleased to host a number of community events on our campus.

Our vision is an authentic Christ-like ministry to the community around us and the community among us.  Join us for the Divine Service on Sundays at 10am, preceded by Sunday School for youth (3 to 18 years old) and an Adult Bible Class.

You're invited to our monthly Share in the Mission Brunches as our guest.  Please see the Calendar for the date of the next Sunday brunch.

Pastor Minetree is available to all members of the community for spiritual care and support.  He's also a chaplain for the Baltimore City Police and for FOP Lodge 3.

God's Mission for Immanuel, our Mission Statement:

Immanuel Lutheran Church is a community of God's people rooted, nourished, and educated
in the Word of God, to include all people in its fellowship for the sake of Christ, and for their eternal salvation.
The Vision Statement for Immanuel Lutheran Church

As the body of Christ, renewed by the Holy Spirit as a living community of believers,
we are committed to sharing the love of Christ and the good news of salvation.

We build relationships with others in the Community Around Us,
while nurturing the Community Among Us,
so all may know of and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
