Greetings!
I am Vicar Bob.
I am
from Avon, Indiana. Avon is a unique town, because as a small child the town did
not exist. It was just farmland. As I grew up I saw Avon transform from a
farmland into a booming suburb of Indianapolis. It was nominated for one of the
best towns to live in for the entire country.
Growing up I attended Lutheran day schools my
entire life for my education. I attended
Our Shepherd Lutheran School on the west side of Indianapolis from pre-school
to 8th grade. I went to the
Lutheran High School in Indianapolis for high school. In high school I ran cross-country and track
and field winning all-academic honors and Christian leadership awards. I
continued to run into college where I studied Pre-Seminary studies and
Christian Outreach at both Concordia Chicago and Concordia St. Paul.
Through
my parents teaching me about God, God instilled the pastoral call in me from a
young age. There were ups and downs on my journey in which I did not feel God
calling me to be a pastor of where God, but God led me to enroll at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne Indiana to begin training to be a Pastor.
As a
Pastor I hope to work in an urban community either doing church planting,
parish ministry, or being a national missionary. Recently I served as a Summer Vicar at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Columbus, Ohio where I developed a campus ministry
at The Ohio State University.
For
fun I enjoy working out, ballroom dancing, watching sports especially Indiana
basketball pro and college, and watching Netflix shows.
As a
Vicar I am excited to learn the ins and outs of parish ministry. I am excited
to grow and mature in my pastoral formation. I hope to be a blessing to Immanuel Lutheran
Church and the Baltimore community.
